BUILD YOUR MENTAL MUSCLES.

Through coaching and practice, you can build new “mental muscles” or skills that influence your psychology and physiology. Once learned, they can be applied to any arena of life, be it school, sports, work, or even relationships.

Working primarily with athletes across all sports, if you’re looking to make changes, breakthrough old patterns, and overcome psychological challenges you are in the right place. Learning to master your internal world can be the difference that takes you to the next level, be it in the boardroom, courtroom, classroom, or any performance arena.

FAQs

  • Because, Beyond the Scoreboards recognizes that what happens on the field is essential, but what happens off the field and in between the ears is critical. I combine extensive experience in the sports world with my clinical background to customize mental skills training and performance coaching programs to help my clients reach their targets, develop their strengths and identify and mitigate blind spots so they ultimately can perform at their best.

Clients include athletes at all levels, sports executives, parents of student-athletes, coaches, performing arts artists/athletes, and trial attorneys.

  • Mental Performance Coaching involves the coaching, teaching, and practicing of transferable skills that influence our psychology and physiology for the purpose of building our “mental muscles”. The best part about mental skills is that once learned, they can be applied to any arena of life: school, sports, work, relationships, and so on.

  • Mental performance coaching/training is for anyone wanting to break through old patterns, change habits, and overcome challenges such as emotional regulation, performance anxiety, focus, low confidence, building resilience, attention errors, etc. Though I specialize in working with athletes and high-level performers, Mental Performance Coaching is not just for athletes. It is also for those wanting to take their already solid “game” to the next level.

  • Sessions are typically 50-60 min. in length. A complete program is usually 8 sessions, not including the session to review TAIS. There is a follow-up from the week before and check-in for learning and application of skills. Then there is discussion, and usually the introduction of new material or sometimes review of past material as needed. Examples and demonstrations are given, and various forms of media are used from time to time.
